On the return to the Southend on Sea Works there became a complete amalgamation of both R&D personal from Malmesbury W.D.U. and the Aston Clinton R&D including both model shops.
The amount of personal returning was almost double that, that had left, and new accommodation had to be built for them, thus a complete new building was built to accommodate the staff.
I have used the coding below to indicate, who's who and where they came from:-
NP = New Personal, IM = Instrument Maker, TM = Tool Maker, WP = Welder & Panel Beater
AO = all round operator capable to pick up most tasks.
